Refund Policy

St. Augustine Social Service Society (STASS Society) deeply appreciates your generosity and commitment to our mission. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of our donors to continue our work in the community.

This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds for donations may be considered.

1. Donation Refunds:

  • General Policy: Donations made to STASS Society are generally considered non-refundable. We allocate and utilize these funds promptly to support our ongoing projects and beneficiaries.
  • Error in Donation Processing: If an error occurs during the online donation process (e.g., incorrect amount entered, duplicate transaction due to a technical issue), please notify us immediately. We will review the transaction and, if an error is confirmed, we will make reasonable efforts to rectify the situation, which may include a refund of the incorrectly processed amount.
  • Unauthorized Donations: If you become aware of an unauthorized donation made using your payment method, please contact us and your bank immediately. We will cooperate with you and your bank to investigate the matter. Any refund in such cases will be subject to the policies of your bank and the payment processor.
  • Change of Mind: We generally do not offer refunds for donations simply due to a change of mind. We encourage donors to be certain of their commitment before making a donation.

2. Event Registration Fees:

  • Cancellation by Attendee:
    • If you cancel your registration for an event with sufficient notice (as specified in the event details), we may offer a partial refund or the option to transfer your registration to another individual.
    • Cancellations made with short notice may not be eligible for a refund, as costs for the event may have already been incurred.
  • Cancellation by STASS Society:
    • If STASS Society cancels an event, registered attendees will be offered a full refund of their registration fee.

3. Merchandise Purchases (if applicable):

  • If STASS Society sells merchandise, the refund policy for those items will be clearly stated at the point of purchase. This may include conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds based on product defects or other reasons.

4. How to Request a Refund:

To request a refund, please contact us in writing (via email or postal mail) within 7 days of the donation or event registration date. Your request should include:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • The date and amount of the donation or event registration.
  • The reason for the refund request.
  • Proof of donation (e.g., transaction receipt, bank statement).

5. Review and Processing of Refund Requests:

All refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. STASS Society reserves the right to make the final decision on whether a refund will be granted. We will notify you of the outcome of your request within14 business days of receiving all necessary information.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed using the original method of payment, unless otherwise agreed upon. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or payment processor to credit the refund to your account.
